Participant Safety Instructions
You must obey all traffic laws while riding on streets including stopping at all stop signs.
a. Be prepared to stop for vehicles waiting at stop signs, in driveways, or parking spaces,
which may suddenly pull out in front of you.
b. Be prepared to take evasive action relating to vehicles that have just passed you and
may turn right, as well as vehicles coming the opposite way that may turn left in front of
you.
c. Use hand signals before making turns or changing lanes to warn traffic around you.
Always have at least one hand on the handlebars to maintain control of the bike.
- You will comply to California’s driving under the influence (DUI) laws apply to both alcohol and
6ability to ride safely. - Only ride single file while on bike lanes and sidewalks, no side by side riding except while
passing. - Riders will use standard bicycle hand signals to notify other riders or vehicles.
All participants must wear helmets and have prominent safety flags on their trikes and bikes.
- You further acknowledge that you understand that this event is not a race.
- You will cooperate with the Tour director or his associated designate when asked to conduct a
safe maneuver or facilitate a repair of a trike/Bike.
